C. Barber. As Yoder Brothers’ Incorporated, the company began growing flowers around 1930, eventually becoming the world leader in mum and aster breeding, expanding production internationally. The North American headquarters of Aris Horticulture, Inc. (formerly Yoder Brothers Inc), is located in Barberton, Ohio. Today, after becoming the largest breeder and propagator of the second most popular flower in America, next to the rose, Aris and the city of Barberton host the Barberton Mum Festival annually in September. It is the second largest display of the flower outside of Japan. The 2023 Mum Show will be held on September 23 and 24, 2023.
