National Chrysanthemum Society

Welcome to the
National Chrysanthemum Society, USA

The National Chrysanthemum Society was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1954. It has members living in nearly all states in the USA and many foreign countries. The Society’s members include chrysanthemum specialists, horticulturists, nurserymen, as well as garden clubs, botanical gardens, universities, and libraries. NCS is primarily for the amateur gardener who enjoys growing chrysanthemums but also welcomes commercial growers.

Helping You Care For Your Chrysanthemums Since 1944

Educate

NCS educates both the novice and experienced grower by researching, teaching, and disseminating procedures for the propagation and cultivation of the chrysanthemum.

Improve

NCS seeks to improve the standard of excellence of the chrysanthemum and to preserve and improve the cultivation of the chrysanthemum for generations to come. We do this by providing valuable growing resources and educational materials to those who wish to improve their propagation and cultivation skills.

Encourage

NCS encourages greater appreciation for the use of chrysanthemums and display of the many chrysanthemum cultivars. Botanic gardens, fall flower festivals, and competitive flower shows all offer opportunities to admire beautiful mum flowers.
